The small core group of GraceWay Church had its initial meetings beginning in November 2004 followed by our first public services on December 12, 2004, as a mission effort.  In March 2005, we became a NewStart church under the direction of the Mississippi District Church of the Nazarene.  On October 30, 2005, we had a service of organization which resulted in 2006 as GraceWay Community Church of the Nazarene by Pastor Rob McDonald, the Mississippi district superintendent at that time, and Pastor David Smith, the founding pastor.

Attendance at GraceWay has risen slowly since starting with just seven people and grows each year; it's just one indicator that needs are being met by the ministries provided through the team at GraceWay.  The testimonies of hearts being changed by Jesus Christ are the best measure of success of any  church.  We are seeking constantly to help make disciples as directed by the Great Commission.  Scripture confirms that the world will know if we are Christians by how we love one another.

This church is composed of the individual members of this portion of the global body of Christ.  This church is not a building, but a living and ever-changing body that does not stay in one place.  However, we do need a meeting place to be able worship corporately and conduct the functions of the church that require a facility.  That is why we refer to the place of worship as the ministry center; it is a center of ministry and a starting place for ministry that should spill over into every area where the individual members live and work throughout the week.

The ministry center is located at 1164 Old Brookhaven Road in Summit.  We have finished renovating over 6,600 square feet of the 10,000 square feet facility, including a new 4,000 square foot sanctuary.  Our first location was at 708 Laurel Street (Hwy. 51) in Summit, MS, where we rented a building for over a year.  We have been able to expand our ministries with this new ministry center that is becoming a center of ministry to the community.  We have recently completed a remodeling for a learning center for the new school, GraceWay Christian Academy, which started in August 2008 and completed an outside playground.  In 2009, we have erected a new school sign and have purchased two new computers for the school.  A 51' steeple has now been erected on the south side of the facility and the back rooms on both sides of the baptistry are now completed for use.

Help us if you have been provided with the means to do so.  One thing you can certainly do is to pray for us!  Thank you and may God bless you.
